The boost stage shall implement cycle-by-cycle current limiting with a peak current limit of 10 A (set by LM5156 internal threshold). On a persistent output fault (e.g. short circuit), the controller shall enter hiccup mode — repeatedly attempting restart — rather than sustaining a high fault current.
